Hi, I'm Lianne

Some might consider me an impulsive person…I like to say I take advantage of the opportunities when they arise instead of letting the time pass me by.

Our powder room left something to be desired. When we purchased our home we slapped on a coat of paint, put a curtain on a tension rod in the window and that was that. One January weekend, I felt inspired to take it on and what a world of difference it makes. This space has become one of my favorites to decorate and embellish here and there.

I recently shared one of my favorite little hacks here that I like to do before having guests or on cleaning day.

Before I round up powder room sources to share, I wanted to let you know about a product we just swapped. This past year, we’ve been working on ways to become a more sustainable household, and I was so eager to check out Reel Paper toilet paper. We’ve tried eco-friendly brands before but they were never quite adequate to make me fully commit. I am happy to report that the completely tree and plastic-free toilet paper from Reel stands up to the hype. We’ve got five butts to wipe in this house, so if that’s not a testament to my statements, I don’t know what is. You can see the thickness and quality of it here along with their not only aesthetically pleasing, but plastic-free packaging here. They gave me a 15% discount to share for first time purchases or subscribers, use CAREY15. I’ve already setup our subscription and wont’ be going back to big-brand toilet paper.

Now for some more fun stuff, can you believe the difference a coat of paint makes?

Sources linked below, some items in here are thrifted so I shared the best dupes I could find. I will say, though, that thrift stores are a great way to find baskets and one-of-a-kind vintage items and give them new life. Highly recommend!
